Playful Pathways 314-669-1332
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S) with over 15 years of experience supporting young children and their families in both school and private practice settings in the St. Louis, Missouri area.
I specialize in helping children ages 3–10 navigate big emotions, anxiety, behavioral challenges, and social struggles. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe exploring their feelings and learning skills to thrive at home, at school, and in their relationships.
Children often experience strong feelings before they have the words to explain them. Play therapy provides a developmentally appropriate way for children to express their thoughts and emotions, practice coping skills, and develop healthier ways of responding to challenges.
As a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, I have advanced training in play therapy and provide clinical and play therapy supervision for therapists pursuing licensure and certification.
I have spent much of my career supporting young children and families because early emotional support can make a lasting difference in a child’s life.

I work with children who may be experiencing:
• Anxiety and worries
• Emotional outbursts or frequent meltdowns
• Low self-esteem or lack of confidence
• Social or friendship difficulties
• Grief and life transitions
• Anger or frustration
• Behavioral challenges at home or school
Play therapy helps children express emotions, process experiences, and build the skills they need to feel calmer, more confident, and better able to manage their feelings.
My approach is strength-based and child-centered, focusing on each child’s unique strengths and natural abilities.
I use a combination of play therapy techniques to support children in different ways:
• child-centered play therapy – children lead play to explore feelings safely
• directive play therapy – guided activities to practice coping and problem-solving
• sand tray therapy – a creative, hands-on way to express thoughts and emotions
• concepts from synergetic play therapy – integrating multiple approaches for emotional growth
Parent collaboration is a key part of the process. I work closely with parents to help them understand their child’s emotional needs and reinforce progress at home.

Sessions typically begin once per week to build trust and momentum. The frequency may be adjusted depending on your child’s needs and progress.
