I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor with over 15 years of experience working with elementary-age children in both school and office settings. In addition to direct therapy, I provide clinical and play therapy supervision for therapists pursuing their licenses and certifications.
I practice from a strength-based approach, focusing on building your child's unique strengths to help them achieve their counseling goals. My therapeutic techniques include both directive and child-centered play therapy, as well as sand tray therapy and concepts from synergetic play therapy.
I specialize in supporting children ages 3 to 10 who are facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, social skills difficulties, anger management, and behavior modification. My goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment within the playroom, where your child can express their concerns through play. Through this process, children can learn and practice new skills, develop more adaptive behaviors, and enhance their emotional and social capabilities, ultimately helping them reach their full potential.
I currently do not take insurance. My session rate is $150 per session.

Typically sessions begin being held weekly. The frequency can be adjusted as needed. We can talk during the intake session about what would be best for your child.
I prefer to meet with parents or guardians for the first appointment without the child for two main reasons. First, I want your child's initial experience with me to be entirely focused on them. Second, I aim to ensure that your child does not have to wait unattended in the waiting room for an extended period.
During the intake appointment, we will discuss your child and any concerns you may have, while I gather important background information. In your child's first session, I will dedicate my attention to them, building rapport and creating a comfortable environment for their journey ahead.
